Our Debate Club coaches are closer to mentors than the traditional “lecture-type teachers”.
Rather than standing in front of the class and simply convey theory and information to students, our coaches encourage active participation by all students, which stimulates conversation and dialogue, which in turn yields better memory retention and skill development for our students.
We do not sacrifice the quality of our teachers simply to admit more students. Part of the reason why we keep our class sizes small is because we maintain very high standards in selecting our coaches here at the Debate Club.
All Debate Club coaches are at least State-level debating champions. Many of them are highly qualified university students current studying academically rigorous fields such as medicine and law. Several are past members of the Australian national debating team.
We will never lower our standards in our selection process at the cost of impacting our students’ learning. We will always maintain our rigorous high-standards in selecting our teachers to maintain our reputation as the Premier Sydney Debating and Public Speaking tutoring college.
Experience is the mother of all-learning, and this is especially true when it comes to Debating and Public Speaking.
As all of our coaches have gone through the same learnings, same challenges, same journey, and same growth as our students, they are able to impart knowledge and provide the kind of feedback that few other people in the state, and indeed, across the world can.
